Kabbalah for All at the Kabbalah Centre
26 of June 2009
The Kabbalah is a 4,000 year-old ancient wisdom. For most of its history the Kabbalah was passed down from
teacher to student, in an elite network of relationships reserved for only the most dedicated and spiritually mature individuals.
As the world around us changed and the needs of people developed in unforeseen, incredible ways, the Kabbalah has become more crucial as a method for tikkun olam.
At the Kabbalah Centre it is believed that the true intention of the Kabbalah is to be spread widely and practiced as universally as possible. Anyone with a desire is welcome and encouraged to come to the Kabbalah Center, learn about Kabbalah on-line, purchase books, find a teacher, learn on the phone, or any other of the large variety of ways a person can connect and be transformed through the study of the Kabbalah.
Grow at Your Own Pace with Kabbalah
10 of June 2009
The Kabbalah Centre has a unique philosophy when it comes to its approach to education and spiritual growth. The Kabbalah teaches that each person has within himself the ability to transform himself and reap the benefits of receiving the spiritual gifts meant for him in this world. However this can only be achieved by each person at his own pace. Therefore no one at the Kabbalah Center is ever coerced into any system of belief, or put in a position where he is forced to make a decision.
It is a fundamental tenet of the Kabbalah and as such is practiced at the Kabbalah Centre that each person develops according to his own pace and desire.
Rav Berg Transmits the Kabbalah to the People
22 of March 2009
The Kabbalah Center was begun more than 30 years ago by Rav Berg and his wife, Karen. Until that day Kabbalah was considered an exclusive ancient wisdom only accessible to those great scholars and mystics who had already reached great heights of spiritual and intellectual perfection. With the founding of the Kabbalah Centre Rav Berg began to revolutionize the transmission of this knowledge so that it is now accessible to the great masses of people who are in dire need of guidance to create better selves and an improved, perfected world.
The light and source
11 of March 2009
The Kabbalah Centre teaches that the Kabbalah relates to God as the Light that is the source of everything, from which all of the world, the universe and creation stem. In the understanding of Kabbalah, as one can learn can from the lessons and lectures held at the Kabbalah Centers, which is an entire philosophy and system of understanding the world in all its facets, teaches that every idea grows from the foundation of God. God, the Light at the center of Kabbalah and all of existence serves as the source of life and the life-giving forces in the world. The entire study and value system of the Kabbalah is based on is central understanding.
As Maimonides stated, in a statement that forms the basis of all of Judaism and Jewish thought, as well as of the world of Kabbalah, “The foundation of all foundations, and the pillar of all wisdom is to know that there is God… All the beings of the heavens, and the earth… came into existence only from the truth of God’s being.”
Attend the Kabbalah Centre lectures for more on this and other topics.
Kabbalah is old!
13 of January 2009
The Kabbalah Center, started and run by Rav Berg and his wife, Karen, has a number of very interesting internet sites. On their sites, they say that the Kabbalah, which is the center of what they teach, is “the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom.” This is very interesting, and I would say requires investigation, especially in today’s age when people are searching for meaning in their lives. So, I am going to look up the Kabbalah Centre on the internet, and also look to see if their are
Study of Zohar
18 of December 2008
I studied Zohar yesterday - well almost, more like read a section of it.
As I see it has already been mentioned, the Zohar is the primary work of the Kabbalah. It is written in Hebrew and primarily Aramaic (an ancient Semitic language similar to Hebre), and it is a work of great depth and symbolistic content.
My desire to study Kabbalah and specifically the Zohar is connected to my idea to improve myself as a person. I have heard I have also heard Rav Berg and the faculty of his Kabbalah Centre speak of improving the world… so, it sounds good to me and inspired me.
The Jewish prayer book has some passages of the Zohar incorporated into the prayer service. I took a look at the English translation of one of these, but I didn’t understand it. I got the the literal meaning of the words (as they were translated in the prayer book) but not the depth and significance. It’s a start.
Love…
04 of December 2008
Sometimes I wake up and I realise that I just love life! It is a good thing - because I am much happier with my wife and kids and they are happier in general when I am happy and feeling fulfilled.
So, what is the secret? I don’t know! But inner peace and quiet are certainly major factors. Also, going on a spiritual quest does something.
How do you attain inner peace? Well, I am turning to Kabbalah… I’ll let you know how that goes!
The Zohar is Kabbalah’s Center
12 of November 2008
The Kabbalah Center has opened the world of the Kabbalah before anyone who wants to partake of the Kabbalah and its secrets.
Many do not know that what stands at the centre of Kabbalah is a work called the Zohar, which was written over 1700 years ago. The Zohar was written by the Jewish Sage and leader Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai, and it is an esoteric and metaphorical work on the connection between God and man.
The Kabbalah Centre bases its teachings on all of the Kabbalah texts, all of which themselves focus on the Zohar as the first and primary source. It is the ability of taking the original Hebrew and Aramaic and serving it to the English-speaking public that has made the Kabbalah Center quite a phenomenon.
