Return to Eden with Kabbalah
08 of July 2009
The purpose of our lives is to bring “Tikkun Olam”, the perfection of the world. According to the Kabbalah the world was in this perfect state before Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Before this time, the perfect state of the world meant that there was no suffering, pain, conflict or evil of any kind.
After the sin the world was transformed into the one we know so well today. The world became filled with negativity, evil, and actions expressing the opposite of the universal desire for peace and tranquility which was the state of the world during the time of the Garden of Eden.
As each person perfects himself the world become closer to being perfected, as it was before the sin. But the Kabbalah teaches its students that become transformed is not the same thing as “earning brownie points” for doing “good deeds.” It is a misunderstanding to believe that we are rewarded according to the amount of “good deeds” we do.
To quote Michael Berg, a teacher at the Kabbalah Center and a co-director there, “Our world is not a point system, but rather a system with a point.”
Kabbalah for All at the Kabbalah Centre
26 of June 2009
The Kabbalah is a 4,000 year-old ancient wisdom. For most of its history the Kabbalah was passed down from
teacher to student, in an elite network of relationships reserved for only the most dedicated and spiritually mature individuals.
As the world around us changed and the needs of people developed in unforeseen, incredible ways, the Kabbalah has become more crucial as a method for tikkun olam.
At the Kabbalah Centre it is believed that the true intention of the Kabbalah is to be spread widely and practiced as universally as possible. Anyone with a desire is welcome and encouraged to come to the Kabbalah Center, learn about Kabbalah on-line, purchase books, find a teacher, learn on the phone, or any other of the large variety of ways a person can connect and be transformed through the study of the Kabbalah.
Karen Berg Discusses The Shechinah on YouTube
18 of June 2009
Speaking on the subject of the Shechinah and the feminine aspect of creation, Karen Berg explained on a video published on YouTube how the world is a place for receiving, which is the feminine characteristic. In this world we are all “receivers.” Karen Berg continued to describe the deeper meaning of the story of creation. The tree of life is singular and unified, and represents the higher, perfected realm. The tree of knowledge of good and evil, which Karen reminded us, was the tree Adam and Eve ate from, represents the duality of creation and the disunity in the physical world.
Grow at Your Own Pace with Kabbalah
10 of June 2009
The Kabbalah Centre has a unique philosophy when it comes to its approach to education and spiritual growth. The Kabbalah teaches that each person has within himself the ability to transform himself and reap the benefits of receiving the spiritual gifts meant for him in this world. However this can only be achieved by each person at his own pace. Therefore no one at the Kabbalah Center is ever coerced into any system of belief, or put in a position where he is forced to make a decision.
It is a fundamental tenet of the Kabbalah and as such is practiced at the Kabbalah Centre that each person develops according to his own pace and desire.

The Kabbalah Centre offers people on their life’s journey the chance to transform themselves without venturing further than to their computer desk. And there are many ways to proceed to the world of Kabbalah. Last time I discussed “The Power of Kabbalah, Level 1.”
As you continue on your journey to getting your life to a place you feel good about you will want to proceed to “Power of Kabbalah, Level 2.” After you have acquired the basic building blocks of kabalistic technology in “Power of Kabbalah, Level 1”, meaning that you can now see what spiritual blocks are preventing you from proceeding, step 2 gets you to do the necessary work which will allow you to remove the “klippot.” The “klippot” or coverings prevent you from seeing clearly and are most often created by a person’s ego.

Rav Berg Transmits the Kabbalah to the People
22 of March 2009
The Kabbalah Center was begun more than 30 years ago by Rav Berg and his wife, Karen. Until that day Kabbalah was considered an exclusive ancient wisdom only accessible to those great scholars and mystics who had already reached great heights of spiritual and intellectual perfection. With the founding of the Kabbalah Centre Rav Berg began to revolutionize the transmission of this knowledge so that it is now accessible to the great masses of people who are in dire need of guidance to create better selves and an improved, perfected world.
Connecting to God Through Transformation
17 of March 2009
According to Rav Berg of the Kabbalah Center, the way to connect to God is through self-transformation. The more we do for others, help people, say something nice, improve the world around us, our own ego becomes reduced allowing a place for God to enter. At the Kabbalah Center it is taught that our actions for goodness helps us to negate our selfish aspects, which in turn connects our soul to God. In addition, prayer is the means by which we can connect to the source of the spiritual strength which gives us the ability to resist our egos, selfish desires and incorrect responses. We are the tools through which the spiritual light enters the world to transform it and heal it, and prayer is the force which propels us to action. The Kabbalah Centre is a great place to begin this transformation of the self and ultimately the world.
The light and source
11 of March 2009
The Kabbalah Centre teaches that the Kabbalah relates to God as the Light that is the source of everything, from which all of the world, the universe and creation stem. In the understanding of Kabbalah, as one can learn can from the lessons and lectures held at the Kabbalah Centers, which is an entire philosophy and system of understanding the world in all its facets, teaches that every idea grows from the foundation of God. God, the Light at the center of Kabbalah and all of existence serves as the source of life and the life-giving forces in the world. The entire study and value system of the Kabbalah is based on is central understanding.
As Maimonides stated, in a statement that forms the basis of all of Judaism and Jewish thought, as well as of the world of Kabbalah, “The foundation of all foundations, and the pillar of all wisdom is to know that there is God… All the beings of the heavens, and the earth… came into existence only from the truth of God’s being.”
Attend the Kabbalah Centre lectures for more on this and other topics.
